B.A. Alte Geschichte
Students in the Bachelor's program in Ancient History gain foundational knowledge of the historical events and geography of antiquity, as well as insights into key methods of historical analysis and interpretation. The major track of the Bachelor's program (Hauptfach) equips students with the ability to gather historical source material, engage with it critically, and analyze it within its broader context. Through selected case studies, students develop a deeper understanding of historical interconnections and practice interdisciplinary approaches in collaboration with related fields.

M.A. Classics
The Master's degree program in Classics offers an interdisciplinary joint degree focused on Greco-Roman antiquity and its cultural periphery.
One of the core subjects of this program is Ancient History, alongside Classical Archaeology, Greek Studies (Gräzistik), and Latin Studies (Latinistik). The program is supplemented by Byzantine Archaeology, Papyrology, and Foundational Sciences (Grundwissenschaften). Students choose one of these areas as a specialization, in which they acquire in-depth subject expertise, and write their Master's thesis. In addition, they take shared interdisciplinary modules. Content from related fields such as Ancient Philosophy, Digital Humanities, or Cultural Heritage can also be included.
